Adobe Launches Photoshop Mobile App for iPhone, Android Soon
Adobe releases Photoshop mobile app for iPhone with AI tools. Android version expected later in 2025. Subscription unlocks premium features.

Adobe has released its Photoshop mobile application exclusively for iPhone users, extending core desktop functionalities to smartphones. An Android version is scheduled for release later this year.
The mobile edition introduces essential Photoshop features adapted for touchscreen use. Users can work with layers, masks, and blending modes. The app includes Adobe Firefly-powered generative AI capabilities, such as Generative Fill and Generative Expand. These tools enable content-aware editing directly on mobile devices.
Photoshop's iPhone app is now downloadable via the Apple App Store. Android support is expected by late 2025.
Adobe outlined the following functions available in the free version of the mobile app:
- Tap Select tool for object removal, color change, and replacement
- Selections, layers, and masks
- Spot Healing Brush for element removal
- Generative Fill and Generative Expand via Adobe Firefly
- Compatibility with Adobe Express, Adobe Fresco, and Adobe Lightroom
Adobe also introduced a subscription model named "Photoshop Mobile and Web," priced at $7.99 per month or $69.99 annually. The plan unlocks additional capabilities, including:
- Project migration between mobile, desktop, and web platforms
- Access to features like "Generate Similar" and "Reference Image" (web version)
- Tools such as Object Select, Magic Wand, Clone Stamp, Remove Tool, and Content-Aware Fill
- Blend mode customization
- Use of 20,000+ fonts and support for custom font imports
- Lighten tool for localized brightness adjustments
Subscribers to existing paid Photoshop plans gain access to these premium mobile and web features automatically. The web version functions across major browsers, including Safari, Chrome, Firefox, and Microsoft Edge.
