Yamaha adds a tech-rich DLX version and eye-catching new colors to its well-liked streetfighter.

The 2025 MT-15 V2 has been officially introduced by Yamaha in India. It comes in two versions: Standard (STD) and Deluxe (DLX). With ex-showroom prices of ₹1,69,550 and ₹1,80,500, respectively, the revised MT-15 joins the competitive naked bike market to compete with the Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and TVS Apache RTR 200 4V.

The 2025 Yamaha MT-15: What's New?

The DLX model now has a fully-digital TFT instrument cluster, which is the main upgrade. Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation through Yamaha's Y-Connect mobile app are supported by this new display. Along with these capabilities, the app provides parking location, maintenance alerts, fuel usage tracking, malfunction warnings, Revs Dashboard, and even a Rider Ranking system.

The R15M's TFT technology was brought to the MT-15 thanks in large part to input from customers, according to Itaru Otani, Chairman of Yamaha Motor India Group. He highlighted the bike's enduring popularity in the street-naked market by fusing performance with practicality.

Fresh Color Selections

Additionally, Yamaha has extended the color scheme for 2025:

  • Vivid Violet Metallic, Metallic Black, and Ice Storm (making its debut in India) are DLX Variants.
  • Variant of STD: A daring new Metallic Silver Cyan
  • The MT-15's strong and contemporary style is further enhanced by these hues.

Engine and Mechanical Specifications

Mechanically, the 2025 MT-15 is unaltered. With Variable Valve Actuation (VVA), its 155cc liquid-cooled engine still generates 18.4 horsepower at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm. In addition to a 6-speed gearbox, it has a slip-and-assist clutch.

The bike is built on a Deltabox frame, featuring USD front forks, a monoshock rear suspension, and a lightweight MotoGP-inspired aluminium swingarm. It rides on 17-inch alloy wheels fitted with road-biased tyres. At 141 kg kerb weight, the MT-15 also features a traction control system, enhancing safety across varying road conditions.

With its updated tech, stylish new colour options, and proven performance, the 2025 Yamaha MT-15 V2 continues to be a strong contender in the premium commuter segment.
