The Kashi Vidwat Parishad has performed an extensive astrological analysis and proclaimed October 20, 2025, as the day lights festival to be celebrated through Varanasi.

“Since the full Pradosh Kaal is on October 20 the evening is perfect for Lakshmi Puja,” mentioned Prof. Ramnarayan Dwivedi, National General Secretary of the Parishad.

But now that the Parshad has confirmed, no more confusion remains about the date and hence mobilization of the faithful, temples, and markets will take place for the celebrations to be held on Monday, October 20.

✨ Significance of Amavasya and Diwali Traditions

Hinduism considers Amavasya, the new moon night, not merely as a dark night but as one that is spiritually illuminated.
