Anantapur: A sea of humanity thronged Anantapur city in Rayalaseema as the NDA Government in Andhra Pradesh organised a huge showdown on the successful implementation of 'Super Six Guarantees' here on Wednesday.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said they had ushered in a new era by introducing governance on WhatsApp and claimed how they had achieved double digit growth in GDP growth. He said Andhra Pradesh is ahead of the nation's growth. He described the resounding success of the Sri City project and announced the resolve to finalise a blueprint for all round development of Rayalaseema region. He said the region is being developed as a hub for automobiles, green energy, aerospace and drones.

Coming down heavily on YSRCP on not attending Assembly sessions and campaigning through social media to spread falsehood. He ridiculed the claim of granting Leader of Opposition status when the YSRCP could get only 11 MLA seats out of 175--far below the required strength. Naidu said without attending Assembly and taking part in constructive criticism, YSRCP is trying to mislead the public and disrespect women. He said he and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan will not tolerate such nasty campaigns.

This was the first showdown of strength by the NDA in the past 15 months after getting a spectacular mandate in the general elections. Named 'Super Six-Super Hit' the programme turned into a mega hit with people from various corners of the State attending the program, said Minister for Finance Payyavula Keshav. All the prominent leaders of NDA including Chandrababu Naidu, Pawan Kalyan, BJP State president PVN Madhav and IT and Electronics Minister Nara Lokesh addressed the huge gathering for the first time. The programme was aimed at celebrating the implementation of promises made during the elections. The major promises implemented after the change in regime include free travel for women in RTC buses, enhancing of welfare pensions from Rs3,000 to Rs4,000 per month, cash reward of Rs15,000 per child for their school education under 'Talliki Vandanam' and cash handout of Rs20,000 to farmers under 'Annadata Sukhibhava.'
