Hyderabad: Telangana will live in darkness if Congress party wins in the upcoming elections, says BRS Party working President KT Rama Rao. He said that there would be long queues for fertilizers and seeds, three-hour current supply, water crisis and more sufferings if the Congress party comes to the power.

He addressed several gatherings during roadshows in Munugode, Kodad and Mulkanoor on Wednesday. Reminding about the people’s suffering in Nalgonda during Congress rule, KTR said: "Despite being aware of water contamination and rampant fluorosis issue, the people were helpless as the congress government back then could not provide safe drinking water."

KTR further reminded the people of those days when there was scarcity of water and power during the Congress rule. He highlighted that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao addressed the water and power scarcity by launching Mission Bhagiratha and other programmes.

Responding to Congress leaders Revanth Reddy and Komatireddy Venkatreddy’s statements on 24-hour power supply not being provided in the State, KTR stated that they could hold any powerline across Telangana and check for themselves if there was power being supplied or not.

KTR rubbished the statement of TPCC Chief who said that a three-hour power supply was sufficient for the farmers in Telangana to irrigate an acre of land if they could run a 10hp pump set. KTR ridiculed the Congress leaders for their lack of knowledge on farming and asked people if they wanted current or Congress.

Highlighting the BRS party’s manifesto, KTR said: "A monthly honorarium of Rs 3,000 per eligible woman under Saubhagya Laxmi scheme, increase in Asara pension money to Rs 5,000, superfine rice supply to all ration card holders under Telangana Annapurna scheme, life insurance cover of Rs 5 lakh to over 93 lakh below-povertyline (BPL) families on the lines of Rythu Bheema being implemented to farmers, and gas cylinder for Rs 400.

Amidst cheers, KTR appealed to the crowds to vote for BRS and make KCR a hat-trick CM.
