Amid escalating tensions following the deadly Pahalgam terror attack, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari over his comments after India suspended the Indus Waters Treaty. Speaking to reporters, Mr. Puri said Bhutto should “get his mental condition checked,” adding firmly, “Enough is enough. We will no longer tolerate this. Now wait for a few days.”

Meanwhile, in response to the April 22 Pahalgam attack — where terrorists opened fire on tourists at the Baisaran meadow, killing 26 — security forces have launched an all-out crackdown across Kashmir. Officials said that homes of known terrorists have been razed, safe houses raided, and hundreds of suspected overground workers detained for questioning, aiming to send a strong deterrent signal against future attacks.

The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (I&B) has also issued an advisory urging all media outlets to avoid live coverage of defence operations and troop movements, citing national security concerns.

Pakistan, however, continues to deny involvement in the Pahalgam attack. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday said Islamabad is ready for a “neutral” investigation into the incident. India has linked the attack to Pakistan-backed cross-border terrorism.

In another major development, following growing tensions between the two countries, over 450 Indians — including 23 members of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 broadcast crew — have returned home via the Wagah border over the past three days, after their visas were abruptly cancelled.

As the situation remains tense, the suspension of the decades-old Indus Waters Treaty has further strained ties, threatening the rare diplomatic framework that had survived multiple Indo-Pak conflicts until now.
