Bobbili (Vizianagaram dist): TDP national president and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Wednesday said his party in alliance with Jana Sena if elected to power will implement a special plan for overall development of North Coastal Andhra so as to bring more investments in IT, industries and other fields.

Oozing out confidence that they will get a decisive mandate, he told a meeting held here as part of ‘Ra Kadali Raa' roadshop as a prelude to the general elections that the days of YSRCP led by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy are numbered.

“When TDP was in power, we wanted to transform Visakhapatnam into IT capital of Andhra Pradesh and a financial hub. We gave a fillip to irrigation schemes by allotting Rs 16,000 crore. We kick-started work on Bhavanapadu Port and Bhogapuram International Airport. Had we been in power, we would have completed these mega projects by now," he said and alleged that the Tribal University sanctioned for AP as part of AP Reorganisation Act is not yet fully functional.

Castigating the YSRCP government for confusion over the decision to form three capitals under the pretext of decentralised development, he recalled how they had finalised a comprehensive plan to develop Amaravati as a futuristic city with all amenities. "Now neither we have Amaravati as our capital nor three capitals after Jagan Mohan Reddy assumed office as the Chief Minister. There is utter chaos everywhere as AP is deprived of any capital," he lamented.

Naidu said after 2019, the State is plagued by retarded development. He accused the YSRCP government of grabbing lands worth Rs 40,000 crore. "The ruling party is eyeing at prime lands and by either intimidating the land owners or foisting false cases under Section 22A. I wonder why Jagan's photo is printed on pattadar passbooks which carries information on immovable properties including our ancestral properties," he stated.

The TDP leader proposed Bhoo Raksha Bill as Bhoo Bhakshana legislationa and apprehended that the officials may paint picture of the Chief Minister on the stones to be laid after plans to conduct comprehensive land survey. He said his party will oppose lock, stock and barrel the move to go for new legislation. He also promised to revive Anna canteens to serve free meals to the needy and speed up construction of TIDCO houses. On the request of local leaders, he said once they form the government, the Nizam Sugar Factory will be revived.
