Vijayawada: Continuing his tirade against the YSRCP Government, TDP national secretary Nara Lokesh on Monday entered the 100th day of his Yuva Gulam (voice of youth) Padayatra by completing 1268.9 km.

He began his padayatra at Boyarevula Camp site in Srisailam constituency at 8 am to reach Bandi Atmakur after sunset. His mother Bhuvaneswari, daughter of late N T Rama Rao and other family members joined him during the 100th day of the walkathon.

To mark the occasion, Lokesh unveiled a pylon at Matukuru. Scores of TDP leaders and activists took part in the ceremony. In a tweet, Lokesh’s father TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu congratulated his son and said that the padayatra and the interactive sessions with the common man has brought several problems faced by the people to his notice. He said the exposure will help him for the future and wished him best wishes.

Yuva Gulam Padayatra was launched on January 27 from Kuppam to Srikakulam to traverse a distance of 400 km in a span of 400 days as a run-up to the Assembly elections scheduled a year later.

During his padayatra, Lokesh has been interacting with the people from various sections, holding roadside meetings and discussions with the TDP rank and file by attacking the alleged omissions and commissions by the YSRCP Government. He has been claiming that the days of the YSRCP Government are numbered and the next government will be headed by Chandrababu Naidu to revive ‘good governance’ and continue Amaravati as the single capital of Andhra Pradesh.

At Gandipeta, he said the coming TDP Government will revive all the schemes, which have been discontinued after 2019 and review the controversial decisions taken by the YSRCP regime. He said the TDP Government will focus on the welfare agenda to improve the socio-economic conditions of the people and strengthen the finances of the State.
