Lok Sabha Election 2024 - Indian-American Tech Professionals in Silicon Valley Host Havan for Modi's Victory

In a unique event related to the Lok Sabha Election 2024 Silicon Valley, a group of Indian-American tech workers held a special 'havan', which is a Hindu religious ceremony at a local temple. They prayed for Prime Minister Narendra Modi to win the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in India, as reported by PTI.

The 'havan' was put together by a group called the Overseas Friends of BJP (OFBJP), specifically by their San Francisco Bay Area Chapter. A large number of people from the Indian community came to the event, highlighting tech professionals’ involvement in Indian politics.

An OFBJP spokesperson mentioned that the Indian-American techies’ election havan reflects immense faith in India's democracy and optimism for Prime Minister Modi's continued progress and positive reforms in the country.

The organisers, embodying Silicon Valley Indian-American political activism, embraced the phrase “Ab ki Baar, 400 Paar" which means "this time, over 400 seats." This signals their ambition for Modi's party, the BJP, and its allies to secure over 400 seats in the Lok Sabha's 545 available positions.

As the election campaign gets more intense, it's clear that the Indian-American tech community in Silicon Valley is supporting Modi, showcasing Indian-Americans political engagement. This active involvement highlights their support for Modi's leadership and their desire for meaningful contributions to the political landscape, both in India and abroad.
