Hyderabad: CPI National Secretary K Narayana warned on Monday that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy could face legal trouble due to his stringent crackdown on illegal constructions in buffer zones and floodplain areas of tanks and lakes. Welcoming the functioning of HYDRAA, he demanded that the State government recover money from actor Nagarjuna for illegally building his N-convention centre and restore the Thammidikunta tank. He also alleged that some people sold their lands through the illegal notary method in the past resulting in the mushrooming of the illegal constructions.

Speaking to the media at Maqdoom Bhavan, K Narayana expressed concern that the actions of HYDRAA could result in jail time for influential figures in the State or even Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, especially if there is a conspiracy against the CM. He cautioned that while CM Revanth Reddy is aggressively pursuing the demolition of illegal structures, this approach could backfire, potentially putting the CM at risk.
