Hyderabad: International flight carrier Ethiopian Airlines reiterates continuation of its thrice-weekly passenger flights from Bengaluru to Addis Ababa in Ethiopia. It takes the opportunity to thank the trade and travel fraternity for its success of flights from Bengaluru and Chennai to Africa, America and Europe.

Speaking to Bizz Buzz, Addissu Ermias, Traffic and Sales Manager, South India, Ethiopian Airlines, said: "Ethiopian is a multi-award-winning airline registering an average growth of 25 per cent in the seven years prior to the Covid-19 pandemic. The entire aviation industry suffered during the pandemic and we are not an excuse for that. Ethiopian is currently implementing a 15-year strategic plan called Vision 2025 that will see it become the leading aviation group in coming years."

Srinivasan Jayaseelan, Regional Manager South India, Ethiopian Airlines, STIC GSA, said: "We see Hyderabad as an emerging city among south Indian cities. This country provides immense opportunity for Ethiopian Airlines to spread its wings and we look forward to make Hyderabad as a gateway to facilitate trade, investment and tourism to/from the Indian sub-continent."

Bengaluru, which is dubbed as the Silicon Valley of India is serving as the centre of technology and innovation. The nonstop service between Bengaluru and Addis Ababa is being carried out using B738 /B787 Dreamliner aircraft. The airline also operates 10 weekly flights from Mumbai and Delhi to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia and thrice-weekly flights from Chennai.

Ethiopian Airlines has partnered with Air India and Vistara to provide seamless connectivity from Hyderabad for passengers coming from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
