Conspiracy to kill Arvind Kejriwal in jail, insulin denied

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has made serious allegations against the Tihar Jail authorities, claiming that there is a conspiracy to harm Arvind Kejriwal, who is currently incarcerated. According to AAP minister Atishi, Kejriwal's blood sugar levels have been fluctuating, and despite his requests, he has been denied insulin, which is crucial for his diabetes management.

Atishi has vehemently criticized this alleged mistreatment, questioning why a diabetic patient like Kejriwal is being denied necessary medication. She has gone as far as to suggest that there might be an orchestrated effort to endanger Kejriwal's life while he is in jail, insinuating political motivations behind the actions of the authorities.

Kejriwal, who has been diabetic for three decades, requires 54 units of insulin daily to regulate his blood sugar levels. The AAP claims that the court had previously allowed Kejriwal to have homemade food due to his health condition, but there are now concerns that this privilege might be revoked, leaving Kejriwal vulnerable to potential harm.

These allegations from the AAP come in response to claims made by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) that Kejriwal was deliberately consuming foods like mangoes, aloo puri, and sweets to elevate his blood sugar levels, possibly as a strategy to seek medical bail. However, the AAP has refuted these claims, accusing the ED of spreading misinformation and lies in court.

Atishi has also highlighted the dangers of sudden drops in blood sugar levels for serious diabetes patients like Kejriwal, emphasizing the importance of having access to emergency foods like bananas and chocolates. Despite Kejriwal's repeated requests, the AAP alleges that he is being denied insulin and other essential medications.

The AAP further suggests that the ED and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) might be working together to disrupt Kejriwal's access to homemade food, which could potentially compromise his well-being in jail.

Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in March in connection with the Delhi liquor policy case, marking a significant development in the ongoing political landscape.
