‘Cong culture to defame its own leaders’

Hyderabad It was Congress culture to diminish image of its own party veteran leaders after their death in a bid to encourage image of dynasty Gandhi family and that party can stoop to any level to defame former prime minister late PV Narasimha Rao who devoted his entire life for the growth of his party, said BJP official Spokesperson and leader NV Subhash, who is also grand-son of PV Narasimha Rao.

Reacting sharply on some contents of autobiography of Congress leader and former union minister Mani Shankar Aiyer, Subhash said Congress never ever gave respect to their own leaders and especially to PV Narasimha Rao who was known as an economic reformer of the country when he was Prime Minister. Though he welcomed Mani Shankar Aiyer description of Rao as ‘the first BJP PM’ of the country, but he strongly condemned branding PV Narasimha Rao as ‘communal’. The former diplomat who is close to Gandhi family never dared to question PV Narasimha Rao about his functioning. But now he raised the question on his integrity 19 years after his death by describing him as ‘communal’, Subhash rue.

Aiyer always indulged in creating nuisance by using unparliamentarily words against BJP, Congress leaders and also about RSS and this book indicate his level of sycophancy towards Gandhi family, Subhash alleged adding that the presence of Sonia Gandhi at the book launch function further aggravated our apprehension that she deliberately did not allow dead body of PV Narasimha Rao inside the AICC to pay respect to the departed soil, he said.
