CM Revanth Reddy appeals to big brother Modi to assist the State in its development

The CM addressed the PM as 'elder brother'
Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy addressed a gathering at the foundation-laying ceremony for various development projects in Adilabad. He extended a warm welcome to Prime Minister Modi, addressing him as his “elder brother”, who was present to inaugurate crucial initiatives and dedicate them to the nation.
In his address, the Chief Minister highlighted the importance of fulfilling promises for the region's development. He emphasized that while the NTPC was expected to produce 4000 megawatts, only 1600 megawatts had been produced according to the trend set by the previous government. Assuring the citizens, he stated, "We will grant all necessary permissions on behalf of the state government to generate the remaining 2400 megawatts."
The Chief Minister underscored the significant benefits these projects would bring to Telangana, stressing that politics should be focused on development, especially outside election rallies. He expressed concern about the climate of conflict between the central and state governments, advocating for an atmosphere of camaraderie and cooperation.
The Chief Minister expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for a positive response to initiatives such as the dedication of the Sky base cantonment area of 190 acres from the Ministry of Defence to Telangana, the go-ahead given by the Union Minister of Textiles, Piyush Goyal to set up a textile university in Telangana. He reiterated his government's commitment to treating constitutional officeholders with respect and called for cooperation in key projects like the Hyderabad Metro, the Musi River Basin development, and the Tummidihetti Barrage project.
The Tummidihetti barrage project could not come to fruition due to the large-scale submergence of land in Maharashtra. In 2016, the governments of Telangana and Maharashtra signed an inter-state agreement on the utilization of water from the Godavari River and its tributaries Penganga and Pranahita.
Addressing the PM he appealed for the Cenre's cooperation to the semiconductor industry in Telangana, which he said would help in making India a trillion-dollar economy. The Chief Minister assured that the Telangana state government would not engage in conflict with the central government and would rather seek to work along with it. He reiterated the government's policy to maintain strong and cordial relations between the Centre and the states, emphasizing the importance of central cooperation for the overall development of Telangana.
Revanth Reddy requested the Prime Minister's continued support and cooperation, highlighting the government's commitment to working together for the progress and prosperity of Telangana.
