BRS govt’s apathy led to poor EoDB rank: Chamala

Hyderabad: Congress leader and Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy on Sunday blamed apathy of erstwhile Bharat Rahstra Samith (BRS) for the poor rank of Telangana in ease of doing business (EoBD).

Reacting a tweet on X by BRS leader and former minister KT Rama Rao, the MP pointed out that the recent EoBD rankings were announced based on Business Reforms Action Plan 2022 which implemented when BRS was in power.

“So, BRS government is responsible for the poor rankings this time. Without checking facts, KTR is posting on X whatever he wants, to show the Congress government in poor light. This is unacceptable,” Reddy said.

Telangana which topped EoBD rankings earlier did not find a place among top 10 States in the recent rankings. The newly-created State has been categorised as the worst performing State while Kerala topped the list followed by Andhra Pradesh in second and Gujarat at third.

Reddy advised KTR to refrain from making false allegations against the Congress government which implemented its promises. “As you have been in power, you have a responsibility to disseminate real facts to people. I also advise you to check ground reports and real facts before making any statements,” he said.
