BJP Backs CM Naidu In Laddu Adulteration Row
Vijayawada: After the Supreme Court pulled up Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu for making allegations in public about adulteration in ghee to make Tirumala laddus, BJP has come to the rescue of CM Chandrababu Naidu.
“He is the head of the government in the State and he has the prerogative to make statements in larger public interest. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) set up under the leadership of senior IPS officer is probing the circumstances leading to deterioration in the quality of prasadam prepared in the Srivari Kitchen of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD),” BJP State president and MP Daggubati Purandeswari said there was nothing wrong uttered by Naidu in the alleged adulteration of Tirumala laddus.
YSRCP mounted the attack against TDP and Chief Minister Naidu for trying to defame former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. The party said the alleged adulterated ghee found at Tirumala was not used for making the laddus as Naidu was trying
to portray.
Jana Sena founder and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan said YSRCP was trying a drama following confirmation of its involvement in adulterated ghee used with animal fats at Tirumala.
