APIIC firm to make all transactions online

Within 4 months of online services being introduced, 389 applications have been received, out of which 144 have been approved

Visakhapatnam: Taking a cue from growing preference for digital transformation, the Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (APIIC) has decided to make online transactions for the convenience of investors in a big way.

AP, which has been ranked top in ease of doing business by the government of India even in the assessment done for the first based on feedback from the beneficiaries directly, has decided to make almost all the transactions digital as part of endeavour to ensure e-governance and transparency.

Focusing on increasing online services, JVN Subramanyam, Vice-Chairman & Managing Director of APIIC is keen on avoiding visits to their offices in person. He said they have received 389 applications for various approvals within four months even as they are determined to make more services online very soon.

APIIC is swiftly moving towards providing all its services online at a single click without the industrial representatives making physical visits to the government offices. Speaking about the initiative, Subramanyam said on Thursday that while 14 services are already being provided online; plans are being chalked out to make all the services online very soon.

He also said that there is a good response from the industry partners within four months of the introduction of online services and so far 389 applications have been received, out of which 144 applications have already been granted approvals. VC and MD also clarified that few permits were sent back to the applicants owing to the requirement of more information and the remaining applications are under consideration.

Subramanyam mentioned that services are currently being provided through the web and a mobile application is being developed for making APIIC services more accessible. According to the directives of Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, the services are being expanded further without the need for investors in the State to go around the offices seeking for permissions.

VC & MD stated that while services like change of industry name, change in allotment, transfer of allotment, reallocation, withdrawal of allotment, change in line of activity, change of constituency of the industry, additional line activity, plot limit permits, plot division, alteration of subdivisions, sale deed execution within five acres, appeals for sale deed executions over five acres, no objection certificate (NOC) for the allotted plot, extension of deadline for execution of the project, extension of deadline required for advance payments are already accessible online, several other services will also be brought under the online domain very soon.

Subramanyam congratulated the employees of APIIC who are playing a key role in ensuring that the entrepreneurs do not face any kind of issues, by not only examining and monitoring the applications but also by processing the appeals from time to time.
