Thanal OTT Release: Atharvaa’s Gripping Thriller to Stream on Prime Video from October 17

Ravindra Madhava-directed nammithi Atharvaa's recent Tamil thriller Thanal is going to have a digital premiere. Implying that after the September 12, 2025, theatrical release, the movie, which is an intense drama, will soon be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video starting from October 17, according to a confirmation from the platform via their social media accounts.

Thanal at the time of its release in theaters, attracted a number of appreciations and some mixed reviews as well from the critics and the audience, but at the same time, its suspenseful plot and strong performances were the aspects that received the most accolades.

Thanal: Plot Outline

The plot revolves around six new police trainees, where Atharvaa is the main character, who are being assigned to unexpected night rounds before they are to receive their official appointment orders. During the police patrol, the newly appointed cops discover a deserted village, where strange and illegal acts are happening. What was thought to be an ordinary task suddenly turns into a heart-pounding confrontation as the squad uncovers shocking things and struggles to live through the night.

Stars of the movie are Atharvaa, supported by Ashwin Kakumanu, who is cast as the antagonist, and Lavanya Tripathi is the lead actress. The cast providing support is made up of Sha Ra, Barani, Selva, Azhagam Perumal, Bose Venkat, Lakshmi Priya, Bhaarath, Thoufiq, Sarvhaa, and Pradeep Vijayan.
