Saiyaara, the blockbuster romantic drama directed by Mohit Suri, is set to make its digital debut on Netflix on September 12, after a stellar theatrical run that shattered box office records.
The film, starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, generated massive buzz across social media as fans eagerly awaited its OTT release. The news broke when Yash Raj Films’ casting director Shanoo Sharma reshared a poster announcing: “Streaming from September 12, Netflix.”
Saiyaara Smashes Box Office Records
Released on July 18, Saiyaara has earned a remarkable ₹319.85 crore in India and an additional ₹148.5 crore overseas, pushing its global gross to ₹531 crore in under a month. The film continues to perform strongly even in its fourth week, collecting ₹1.35 crore on its latest Monday.
During its opening weekend, Saiyaara posted ₹83 crore net in India — the biggest-ever debut for an Indian romantic drama, surpassing Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s Kabir Singh (₹71 crore), despite having a smaller theatrical release.
