Kurukshetra: The Great War of Mahabharata, Part 2, has appeared on Netflix, and the great Kurukshetra battle is presented again. The finale zooms into the very last moment of the 18-day war - the battle of the Pandavas versus Kauravas, bringing to the audience a new, stronger viewpoint on one of the Indians' most classic epics.

What exactly is Kurukshetra Part 2?

Starting from the time of the death of Jayadratha in Part 1, Part 2 records the remaining nine days of the legendary war. The series emphasizes the major battles, the tactical shifting, and finally the resolution of the dispute.

This has now become a war between good and evil that not only the gods but also the whole Earth will come to witness — where the losers and the winners take over, and everybody’s good deeds (or misdeeds) are put to the final trial.

Trailer Insights

The trailer of Kurukshetra Part 2 presents the moral dilemmas faced by Arjuna, Karna’s absolute devotion, and Duryodhana’s stubbornness. For further emphasis, the film has declared the major issue of dharmayudh (righteous war) and the sacrifices made in the process:

“Dharm ke iss yuddh mein kuch balidaan toh dena padega” — Some sacrifices must be made in this war for righteousness.

The trailer conveys the same power, drama, and mental quality that have characterized and distinguished this telling from others and more recent ones.

Date of Release and Streaming Service
