For an anime fan, a wait is pain. Having premiered on September 12, 2025, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Infinity Castle is running successfully in the Indian theatres. As the first film in the new trilogy adapting the final battle arc of the manga, it has already become a hit box office attraction, having netted ₹44.5 crore over the first weekend.
The movie resumes right after the Hashira Training Arc, following the Demon Slayer Corps as they whisper into Muzan Kibutsuji's terrifying fortress, the Infinity Castle, thus setting up for one of the greatest soul-shattering fights.

While theaters continue to show the film, the fans are tickled with the fact that it will soon be available on OTT. According to Forbes, Sony is yet to declare an official streaming date, with the film very likely to appear on Crunchyroll, Sony's own anime streaming platform.
Considering the past anime film releases, a theatrical title usually took four to five months before being made available online. For reference:
- Spy x Family Code: White was released in April 2024 and went on Crunchyroll in September 2024.
- Haikyu!! The Movie came in May 2024 and went on streaming toward late October 2024.
Continuing the trend, Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle shall be available for streaming on Crunchyroll between late January and mid-February 2026.
Box Office Performance in India
With Sotozaki Haruo taking reigns, the film grossed high amounts in its different versions — English, Hindi, Japanese, Tamil, and Telugu.
- ₹44.5 crore grossed opening weekend
- ₹14.5 crore grossed on Sunday alone
- ₹3.5 crore grossed on Monday
Positive word-of-mouth is building up, besides the presence of the growing anime community in India, and the movie should thereby maintain momentum in the forthcoming weeks.

While awaiting Infinity Castle's OTT release, fans can also seek solace in the anime series. All four seasons, including the famous Mugen Train Arc, are currently out on Crunchyroll and Netflix in both subbed and dubbed formats.
Crunchyroll had also unleashed a free YouTube livestream of the entire series in August, 2025, to allow the fans to re-immerse themselves in the story before going into the saga of the Infinity Castle.
