Andhra King Taluka OTT Release: Ram Pothineni’s Film to Stream Soon on Netflix
Andhra King Taluka, starring Ram Pothineni, is set for its OTT debut on Netflix from December 25 after a mixed theatrical run.

Energetic star Ram Pothineni’s latest film Andhra King Taluka is all set to make its digital debut after completing its theatrical run. Directed by Mahesh Babu and starring Bhagyashree Borse as the female lead, the film hit cinemas on November 27 and received mixed reviews, though it managed to collect decent box office numbers.
The makers have now finalized the OTT plans for the film. Netflix has got the digital streaming rights of Andhra King Taluka, and as per the latest news, the movie is going to be available for streaming from December 25.However, the official announcement for the OTT release date should be made shortly.
Initially advertised as A Biopic of a Fan, the movie created a lot of excitement with its teaser and trailer before the release. Around 2002, the Godavari district is the setting of the story and Andhra King Surya, also called Upendra, the mass hero who is adored like a god throughout the Telugu states, is the center of it all. Just as Surya is getting ready for his landmark 100th film, the film project is cut off suddenly due to financial problems, and the actor is left heartbroken.
Running parallel is the story of Sagar, played by Ram Pothineni, Surya’s biggest fan from the same region. Sagar gets mesmerized by Mahalakshmi, daughter of the local theatre owner, and the love story begins. To gain her affection he makes a bet that by chance gets tied up with Surya’s career which has been stuck for a while thereby providing the film with its emotional core.
Ram Pothineni was praised for his performance as an ardent supporter which was quite the opposite of his usual star persona. However, the movie didn't do as well as it was anticipated at the box office. Now that the OTT release is about to happen, the spectators are wishing that Andhra King Taluka will attract a bigger fanbase and thus more good digital word-of-mouth.
The release on Netflix is now the main focus as people want to know how the film is going to be judged by OTT viewers.
