A Yellow warning is issued by the IMD for some districts across Telangana as the state is again gearing up for another spell of heavy rain. This usual monsoon regime presenting bright mornings and intense evening showers has been ushering temperature fluctuations and local disturbances over Telugu States.
According to the IMD, light to moderate rainfall is expected today over Bhadradri Kothagudem, Mulugu, Bhupalpalli, Mahabubabad, Medchal, Rangareddy, and Suryapet districts. The warnings may also include thunderstorm winds raising to 40 kmph in the warned areas.
Tomorrow Heavy Rainfall
Wednesday will see heavy rains, with the meteorological office warning for these districts: Mahabubnagar, Nalgonda, Warangal, Siddipet, Medchal, Jangaon, Yadadri, and Vikarabad. Possibility of scattered showers also exists during today and tomorrow over Hyderabad, hence authorities are on high alert for possible waterlogging and traffic congestion.
Andhra Pradesh is expected to remain generally dry today while Rayalaseema might get shower occasions due to the passing surface circulation over the region.
October Rainfall Forecast
Three rainfall spells are projected by the Meteorological Department for October over Telangana:
- October 1–10: Heavy rainfall over North and East Telangana
- October 10–20: Moderate rainfall over some districts
- October 21–31: Another wave of heavy rainfall with the onset of northeast monsoon.
