Vizag to Unveil India’s Longest Glass Skywalk at Kailasagiri Hills
Vizag’s Kailasagiri Hills to open India’s longest glass skywalk, offering thrilling views of the Bay of Bengal, Eastern Ghats, and city skyline.
Vizag’s new glass skywalk at Kailasagiri Hills promises breathtaking views of the Bay of Bengal, Eastern Ghats, and the city’s skyline.

In Visakhapatnam, a brand-new landmark that combines breathtaking scenery with adventure is about to open. The new glass skywalk in Vizag, which is officially the longest in India, is perched atop the Kailasagiri Hills and promises visitors breathtaking views of the city skyline, the Eastern Ghats, and the Bay of Bengal.
A View of the Heavens
The glass skywalk stretches out from the Kailasagiri Hills, close to the well-known Titanic viewpoint, and is 55 meters long and 862 feet above the ground. With a breathtaking 262-meter vertical drop, Vizag's skywalk is a wonder in and of itself, even though it isn't as long as China's renowned Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge.
The bridge is an example of excellent engineering. It is supported by 40 tonnes of steel and is constructed with three layers of tempered laminated glass panels that were designed in Germany. Because of its exceptional strength, the structure can support a load of 500 kg per square metre and endure winds of up to 250 kmph.
Accessibility and Safety
The skywalk will have a rigorous visitor policy to guarantee a fun and safe experience. There will only be 40 people on the deck at once, and each group will have 5–10 minutes to enjoy the scenery. It is anticipated that admission costs will be reasonable, falling between ₹250 and ₹300.
The Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA), Bharat Mata Ventures (Kerala), and SSM Shipping & Logistics (Vizag) are partners in the project. This new structure is the longest of its kind in India, measuring 55 meters, surpassing the 38-meter glass bridge in Vagamon.
What to anticipate
A complete 360-degree panorama awaits visitors to the new skywalk. The views are sure to impress, whether it's the lively cityscape of Vizag or the crashing waves of the Bay of Bengal. For those who enjoy photography and are seeking an exciting yet calm experience, this is the ideal location.
Tricolor-themed lights will be used to illuminate the bridge after the sun sets, creating a dazzling sight. More than just an adventure, this new attraction is expected to become a source of pride for the city and attract visitors from across the nation and beyond.
