Vizag hosts APL season-2 3k run

Visakhapatnam The Andhra Cricket Association (ACA) conducted APL Season-2 3k run event at Beach Road near Kalimata Temple here on Sunday. The event was conducted in the presence of distinguished guests Gudivada Amaranath, Minister for Industries; YV Subba Reddy, YSR North incharge; Mallikharjuna, Visakha District Collector; Hari Venkata Kumari, Visakha Mayor; Andhra Cricket Association president P Sarat Chandra Reddy and secretary SR Gopinadh Reddy and members of the Andhra Cricket Association and APL Governing Council.

Later, ACA State secretary SR Gopinath Reddy said that he is very happy to start APL season-2 3krunat Beach Road, Visakhapatnam. He stated that plans are being prepared with the aim of preparing players for IPL from Andhra Pradesh.

APL season-1 which was held last year had evolved a big response. He said: "We have started our Andhra Premier League with the aim of organizing APL season-2 on a large scale this year. Cricket fans should be well received. He said that APL-2 will be held duringAugust 16-27, at Dr YS Rajasekhar ReddyInternational cricket stadium in Vizag. It has been revealed that 120 young Andhra cricketers are participating in the Andhra Premier League."

He said that this is the biggest event in the Sate. ACA president P Sarat Chandra Reddy said: "Our aim is to identify talented young cricketers in the State and give them special trainingand we will take it further." He said that Charu Sharma, who conducts the IPL auction, was brought in and conducted an auction for our cricketers as well. IPL recognizing the talent of young cricketers and supportsthem financially. Their aim is to get the opportunity for cricketers of the state to play in the IPL.

Gopinadh Reddy also stated that the season-1 reached among 3 million people and this time we are expecting even more viewers through Star Sports and OTT platforms. Chief guests of the event also expressed their happiness that this APL will bring real local talent.They all wished APL team a great success for the season-2.
