Varun Group celebrates 75 years of formation

Varun Group has launched the celebration of its 75-year journey of trusted service and excellence, marking a legacy that began in 1950 with the vision of the late Kesavarao Choudhary, who founded Padmaja Commercial Corporation (PCC) in Vijayawada, dealing in Zetor Tractors and Royal Enfield Motorcycles.
In 1975, Prabhu Kishore joined the family business, and in 2025, he completed an illustrious 50 years of leadership and service to the group, the company stated on Monday. Under his stewardship, Varun Group transformed into a multi-dimensional enterprise, built on the values of discipline, focus, calibrated expansion, and integrity.
His commitment to stakeholders – the "five fingers" of employees, customers, principals, bankers, and government - has been the cornerstone behind the group’s sustained success.
Carrying forward this legacy, the third generation, Varun Dev, took charge in 2007 as the Managing Director, and has since expanded the group’s scale and reach.
Today, Varun Group stands as the World’s No.1 dealer for Suzuki Four-wheelers and two- wheelers, as well as the world’s No.1 dealer for Bajaj two-wheelers and three-wheelers.
According to a press release, with a workforce of over 21,600 employees, a robust network of 856 customer touchpoints, the group sells more than 1.70 lakh vehicles annually and services over 20+ lakh vehicles each year, making it one of the largest and most trusted automotive groups in the world.
Diversifying beyond automobiles, Varun Group entered the hospitality sector in 2011 with the launch of Novotel Visakhapatnam Varun Beach, a landmark property that redefined luxury on the east coast. The Group went on to develop Novotel Bheemili Resort and Novotel Vijayawada Varun, further strengthening its hospitality footprint.
