The Telangana state administration has put forth a holiday calendar for the year 2026. The Chief Secretary's directives include a total of 27 general holidays and 26 optional holidays as per the orders. On these general holidays, government offices and educational institutions will remain closed. Important festivals such as Sankranti, Republic Day, Ramzan, Dussehra, Diwali, and Christmas are among them. Workers are allowed to select five days from the year as optional holidays.
