Indian equity markets are expected to start on a muted note today, Friday, October 3, amid mixed global cues. At 7:50 AM, GIFT Nifty futures were trading 12 points lower at 24,938.5. Domestic markets remained shut on Thursday due to Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti.
In Asia, Japan’s Nikkei 225 rose 1.65% while Hong Kong’s Hang Seng slipped 0.6%. Mainland China and South Korea markets remain closed for holidays. Overnight, US indices closed at record highs, with the Nasdaq up 0.4%, S&P 500 rising 0.06%, and Dow Jones adding 0.17%.

Hero MotoCorp
An 8% YoY rise in sales was reported, of 6,87,220 units in September 2025 compared to 6,37,050 units a year ago. Domestic sales witnessed a 5% increase to 6,47,582 units, while exports rose 94.8% YoY to 39,638 units.
Maruti Suzuki India
Maruti’s September sales grew 2.7% YoY to 1,89,665 units. Domestic sales fell 6.1% to 1,47,461 units, but exports soared 52.2% to 42,204 units, compared to 27,728 units last year.
Sammaan Capital
Abu Dhabi-based Avenir Investment RSC, part of International Holding Company, has invested ₹8,850 crore for a 43.46% stake via preferential allotment. Avenir becomes the new promoter, and IHC will launch a mandatory open offer as per SEBI norms.
TVS Motor
Reported record quarterly sales of 15.07 lakh units in Q2FY26, a 22% YoY growth. Two-wheeler sales alone touched 14.54 lakh units, up from 11.90 lakh in Q2FY25.
Tata Power
Subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tata Power Mumbai Distribution for an 80 MW renewable energy project. Project cost: ₹1,200 crore.
InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo)
IndiGo announced the resumption of services to China, starting with daily Kolkata–Guangzhou flights from October 26 using Airbus A320neo. Direct Delhi–Guangzhou flights will follow, subject to approvals.
TBO Tek
Subsidiary TBO LLC acquired Classic Vacations (US) for $125 million.
Waaree Energies
Plans were to scale up lithium-ion battery and energy storage capacity from 3.5 GWh to some higher level with a capex of ₹8,000 crore.
KRBL Ltd
Won an E-auction bid for properties in Panipat, Haryana worth ₹402.86 crore. The company will use the land for manufacturing, warehousing, or monetisation opportunities.
