About Archery-Based Lotteries

Among the 13 Indian states running government lotteries, Meghalaya stands out with both digital and unconventional formats. Shillong Teer breaks from the traditional lucky draw by basing its results on archery.

Played six days a week (Monday to Saturday), Shillong Teer involves two archery rounds. Archers from various clubs linked to the Khasi Hills Archery Sports Institute (KHASI) compete at the Shillong Polo Ground. Players bet on two-digit numbers they predict will be the winning numbers derived from the last two digits of the arrows hitting the target in each round.
