Saiyaara Box Office: Ahaan Panday, Aneet Padda Film Breaks Sitaare Zameen Par’s Lifetime Record

Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda’s romantic musical Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, has emerged as one of the top blockbusters of 2025, shattering multiple box office records in just its first week.

Saiyaara Tops Box Office Charts

Released on July 18, 2025, Saiyaara opened to stellar reviews and massive audience turnout, collecting ₹172.50 crore in its first week, as per Sacnilk reports. This phenomenal collection has surpassed the lifetime earnings of Aamir Khan’s sports drama Sitaare Zameen Par, which grossed ₹166 crore.

Not just that, Saiyaara also outperformed Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (₹153.55 crore), securing its spot as the fourth highest-grossing film of the year so far.

Varun Badola on Saiyaara’s Success

Actor Varun Badola, who plays Ashok Kapoor in the film, shared his thoughts on the movie’s success during an exclusive chat with Zoom. He remarked:

“Our filmmaking often focuses on the business side — adding item songs and formulaic elements to chase numbers. Saiyaara is proof that good content can overpower star power. If audiences truly connect with a film, they will return to theatres to watch it again.”

What’s Next for Saiyaara?

With its box office momentum, Saiyaara is expected to enter the ₹200-crore club soon, solidifying Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda as emerging stars of Bollywood. The makers are also eyeing a 90-day theatrical window before its OTT release.
