RRB Group D Exam Date 2025: Supreme Court Verdict Clears Path, New Dates to Be Announced Soon

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is going to reveal the new schedule for the RRB Group D Exam 2025 after the Supreme Court and CAT Delhi have favored the 10th pass candidates. So, the dispute has been resolved and the hiring for the 32,438 Group D posts will continue.

RRB Group D Exam 2025: What’s Confirmed So Far

The computer-based test, originally planned for 17 November to 31 December 2025, has been postponed. The new timetable will be made public shortly on the official regional RRB sites.

Candidates will be able to access:

Exam City Slip: 10 days before the exam

Admit Card: 4 days before the exam

RRB has urged applicants to rely only on official portals and avoid misleading information circulating on social media.

Supreme Court Verdict on Eligibility

The long-running dispute regarding eligibility for Group D posts has now concluded. The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT), Delhi, dismissed the plea demanding mandatory ITI qualification.

The Tribunal reaffirmed that the minimum eligibility remains 10th pass, upholding the Railways’ original notification. This brings relief to millions of candidates awaiting clarity for months.

Recruitment Scale and Exam Process

More than 10.82 million candidates have applied for RRB Group D 2025, making it one of India’s largest competitive exams. The CBT will be held across 200+ cities in multiple shifts daily.

Computer-Based Test (CBT)

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Document Verification

Medical Examination

Candidates must qualify at every stage to reach the final merit list, which will be prepared based on CBT scores and PET performance.

Exam Day Guidelines

The CBT will be held in multiple shifts, with a duration of 90 minutes. PwBD candidates using scribes will get 120 minutes.

There will be ⅓ negative marking for each wrong answer.

Candidates must verify details on the admit card and arrive well before the reporting time mentioned.
