Reunion Island delegates explore investment opportunity in Sri City

Hyderabad: Sri City, an integrated business city on Wednesday said that a six-member delegation of senior government officials from Reunion Island, led by M Richard Boqui Queni, Secretary of the Bureau de CCI Reunion, recently visited Sri City. The delegates witnessed Sri City firsthand so as to gain insights into the investment opportunities it offers.

During their visit, R Shivashankar, Senior vice president (Marketing), Sri City briefed on the infrastructure and features of the mega industrial park. The delegates toured the industrial zone and witnessed manufacturing capabilities of Rockworth Industry.

An official release from Sri City said that the availability of infrastructure, talented workforce and government support attracts investors from across the globe. Currently, over 220 companies from 29 countries have set up units at Sri City.

In the release the officials further informed that Richard Boqui Queni has expressed interest in business investments in India, and he lauded the benefits associated with conducting business in Sri City. He highlighted the infrastructure, and conducive business environment. The delegation was pleased to witness the presence of renowned brands across various industries within Sri City. They firmly believe that Sri City would be a fit for medium- and small-scale investments, particularly in the food processing sector, originating from Reunion Island.

Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder Managing Director, Sri City, said: “We are delighted to welcome the delegation from Reunion Island. Their visit holds the promise of facilitating significant business investments from there.”

Other members of the delegation included Johny Arnachellum, president, Commission Innovation & Digital, Bureau de CCI Reunion; Bernard Robert, Deputy Mayor, Reunion Island; and Bhavani Samarao, Manager, SICCI. Rajaram Mohan Munuswamy, Director, Global Organisation of People of Indian Origin in France, coordinated the visit.
