Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a tumultuous welcome by massive crowds during the 'Super GST Super Saving' meeting organised by TDP and other allies of NDA coalition here on Thursday.

An overwhelmed Modi, who was praised sky-high by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and others predicted a bright future for Andhra Pradesh in science and innovation.

Earlier, he said people's welfare was the prime aim of his government and justified next generation GST reforms introduced recently to ensure a cash savings of Rs 2 lakh crore to the people.

The reforms by reducing slabs and rationalisation of GST, he said, will benefit all sections of people.

The Prime Minister laid foundation stone/inaugurated projects in multiple sectors in Kurnool and other areas costing Rs.13,430 crore in roads, railways and power sector. Modi said the projects will improve connectivity and green energy production.

Praising Naidu and Pawan Kalyan, he said the State has excellent vision and leadership for all-round development at jet speed under the 'double engine ka sarkar.'

He said past 16 months Andhra Pradesh has attracted several big ticket projects and exuded confidence that it will make rapid strides in the coming years.

Stating that the 21st century will belong to India, he said the country is set become a super power by 2047 coinciding with the centenary year of Indian Independence.

In his address earlier, Naidu said the country has a committed and dedicated visionary in the form of Narendra Modi and oozed out confidence that India will become third largest economy by 2028. He praised Modi for elevating the country to 4th position from 11th due to dynamic stewardship.

Pawan Kalyan and IT Minister Nara Lokesh thanked the Prime Minister for his patronage to steer Andhra Pradesh ahead by supporting Amaravati development and getting mega projects like $15 Google data centre hub and India's largest greenfield steel plant by ArcelorMittal-Nippon Steel (India).
