If it were considered troubleshooting, the clock has turned; many farmers across India want the 21st anniversary of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. The last installment, the 20th, was released in August 2025, and according to the 4-month payment cycle, it should go far off now. With Diwali not far away Sunil, the speculation is rife that the government could release the payment before the festival.

🌾 PM-Kisan 21st Installment: What We Know So Far

Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, unveiled direct income support for farmers. Here, eligible farmers receive a total amount of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal installments through DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer).

20th Installment Released: August 2025

Expected Release for 21st Installment: October 2025 (Before Diwali, as per reports)

Usually, the government releases each installment every four months, and given the timeline, the 21st installment is likely due this month.

🏔️ Farmers in Four States Already Received Payment

While most farmers are still waiting, farmers in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand have already received their 21st installment.

On October 7, 2025, the government transferred ₹170 crore to over 8.5 lakh farmers in these states. The early release was made to provide relief after heavy rainfall, floods, and landslides that damaged crops and livelihoods.

🎇 Will PM Kisan 21st Installment Be Released Before Diwali?

This is something that has not, however, yet been officially confirmed by the government. What perhaps might happen is a credit to ₹2,000 under the 21st installment before Diwali in 2025, as per media reports.

If it actually happens, then it would be a worthy Diwali gift for millions of farmers, giving timely financial stimulus during the festival season.

⚠️ These Farmers May Not Receive the 21st Installment

Not every registered farmer will receive the upcoming payment. Farmers failing to meet verification or document requirements may be excluded. Common reasons for payment delays or rejections include:

  • Incomplete e-KYC
  • Aadhaar not linked with the bank account
  • Incorrect IFSC code or account details
  • Closed bank account
  • Mismatch in personal details

Farmers who have completed all verification steps, submitted accurate information, and linked their Aadhaar properly will likely receive the ₹2,000 installment on time.

How to Check if You’re Eligible for the 21st Installment
