Pawan Kalyan's son Mark Shankar injured in Singapore school fire incident

Andhra Pradesh deputy chief minister Pawan Kalyan's youngest son Mark Shankar, was injured by a Singapore school fire within his primary school in Singapore.Mark suffered injuries to his legs and hands and was suffering from breathing difficulties due to smoking. He is currently in hospital and receiving treatment.

At the moment of the incident Pawan Kalyan was on excursion within the Alluri Sitarama Raju district.

Despite being advised by party officials and official leaders to immediately stop his trip and return to Singapore and Singapore, he was steadfast in his commitment to go visit Kuridi village close to Araku.

"I had promised the tribes from Kuridi of my intention to go to their village and discuss their issues. I'll keep that promise before I leave," he said.

After his trip to the Agency region in the ASR district Pawan Kalyan is scheduled to travel Singapore from Visakhapatnam in the afternoon of Tuesday.

His planned excursion to the zoo and review sessions in Vizag city were postponed due to this unexpected circumstance.

"Upon arrival, the fire was raging on the second and third floors of a 3-storey shophouse. Several persons were on a ledge outside the third-floor unit. Members of the public, including construction workers, used a metal scaffolding and a ladder to reach those stranded and brought a number of them to safety," the Singapore Civil Defence force said in a post on Facebook.

"SCDF immediately deployed rescue ladders and a Combined Platform Ladder to rescue the rest of the stranded persons on the ledge. At the same time, firefighters proceeded to the second and third floor to fight emergency response. The fire was extinguished with three water jets within 30 minutes, " the article said.
