NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), a subsidiary of NTPC Ltd, has declared commercial operations for an additional 125 MW of solar power at its Bhadla Solar PV Project in Rajasthan. The move strengthens NTPC’s renewable portfolio and raises the group’s total installed capacity to 87,790 MW.


The newly commissioned 125 MW capacity forms the second part of the 500 MW Bhadla Solar PV Project located in Phalodi, Rajasthan. Commercial operations began at 00:00 hrs on January 31, 2026.

The project is operated by NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NGEL and a step-down subsidiary of NTPC Limited. The commissioning was certified by the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited (RREC) on February 3, 2026.

Regulatory Disclosure

NGEL made the required disclosure under SEBI’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements (LODR) Regulations, 2015 on February 3, 2026. NTPC Ltd subsequently informed stock exchanges on February 4, 2026.
