NTPC Simhadri Unit-1 synchronised by female executives

Visakhapatnam: NTPC has declared that Simhadri Super Thermal Power Station’s Unit-1 was successfully synchronised on January 5 after capital overhauling.

The unit located near here was brought back on bar and synchronised by female executives in the presence of Sanjay Kumar Sinha (Head of Project), DP Patra (GM, O&M), TR Rajagopalan (GM, Operation), Mathew E Kovoor (GM, Maintenance) and other senior officials of Simhadri. This was for the first time in NTPC that a unit’s recommissioning was done by a team of female executives. This was also a part of NTPC initiative for women empowerment.

In his message, Sinha appreciated female executives for their commitment during unit recommissioning activities and synchronisation.
