NTPC holds awareness on cervical cancer

Visakhapatnam: NTPC Simhadri Super Thermal Station conducted a cervical cancer awareness and screening camp at Jeevan Rekha Hospital for the benefit of people staying in the neighbourhood.

Simhadri Head of Project Sanjay Kumar Sinha inaugurated the camp with the Deepika Ladies Club president Anju Sinha. The camp was conducted in collaboration with Medicover Hospitals, Visakhapatnam.

The half-day long camp comprised cervical cancer awareness, Pap smear testing, gynecologist consultation along with dietary advice by dietician. Several beneficiaries from the township participated and shared their experiences expressing the ease of the screening process and associated consultation. The camp provided a convenient and centralized venue for women at NTPC Simhadri township to avail the services rendered through the camp.

Among others, Mathew E Kovoor , General Manager (maintenance), Dr. Kamaraju, Chief Medical Officer, Vijaya, BB Patra, HR Head and VK Prabhakar, Deputy Commandant, CISF and hospital staff were present.
