NEET 2024 - Official answer key, OMR sheet expected early June

NEET 2024, the National Entrance cum Eligibility Test for undergraduate medical courses, commenced today, May 5, at 2 PM, ending at 5.20 PM. Admit cards were available for download from May 1.

The exam is happening across 557 cities in India and 14 overseas locations, with nearly 24 lakh students competing for roughly one lakh MBBS seats.

Once the NEET UG test is done, students must await instructions from supervisors before leaving their seats.

Experts may provide unofficial answer keys shortly after the exam, but the official answer keys, released by the National Testing Agency (NTA), will be available on their website, exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/ within a few days.

The NEET UG 2024 paper consisted of 200 multiple-choice questions. Candidates can access the answer keys on NEET's official sites, like exams.nta.ac.in and nta.ac.in. The NTA will furnish tentative answer keys along with candidates' OMR sheets. If candidates have objections, they can challenge the answer keys by paying a fee of INR 200 within a specified timeframe. An expert committee will review the challenges before finalising the answer keys and releasing results. Once the final answer keys are out, there's no provision for further challenges.

NEET, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, is the sole gateway for admission to undergraduate medical and paramedical programs in India. It's conducted once a year in offline mode for three hours and twenty minutes (200 minutes). The exam comprises 200 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, with candidates required to attempt 180 questions.

Administered by the National Testing Agency (NTA), NEET facilitates admission to various medical programs like BSc Nursing, BDS, MBBS, Veterinary, BAMS, etc., across India. The test is conducted in 13 languages and sees over 20 lakh applicants annually.
