A devastating explosion rocked the Sigachi Chemical Factory in Pashamilaram Industrial Estate, Sangareddy district, on Monday morning, resulting in the deaths of 8 workers and injuring over a dozen others. The accident occurred around 10 AM on June 30, 2025, sparking panic in the area and triggering a large-scale emergency response.
🚨 Explosion Details and Casualties
Five workers died on the spot due to the blast.
Three more succumbed to injuries at a nearby hospital in Patancheru.
Over 12 workers sustained serious injuries; two are reported to be in critical condition.
The explosion was powerful enough to destroy the factory shed, collapse a building, and throw some workers as far as 100 meters away.
“Some workers are still feared to be trapped inside,” said a police official from Patancheru station.

Firefighting teams are still trying to control the thick smoke and ongoing fire.
Emergency evacuation was initiated for nearby areas due to toxic fumes.
