Day 1 box office receipts for Ashwin Kumar's much awaited mythological action movie "Mahavatar Narsimha" were ₹2.29 crore globally. The film has received accolades for its profound spiritual story inspired by Sanatan Dharma, its breathtaking visuals, and its 3D animation. It was released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
Collections Are Led by the Hindi Version
On the first day of release, the Hindi version brought in ₹1.51 crore, making it the biggest contributor. Regional versions showed modest profits:
- Telugu: ₹38 lakhs
- Kannada: ₹7 lakhs
- Malayalam: ₹3 lakhs
- Tamil: ₹2 lakhs
With all versions combined, the film's India net collection stands at ₹2.01 crore.
The plot and reception
In "Mahavatar Narsimha," the mythical tale of Prahlad's unshakeable devotion and Vishnu's transformation into Narsimha in order to overthrow the despot Hiranyakashyap is told. The film's spiritual depth and visually stunning story have struck a chord with viewers, especially in Hindi-speaking areas.
