Mahavatar Narsimha, the mythological animated film directed by Ashwin Kumar, is breaking box office records and becoming the highest-grossing Indian animated film ever. The movie has surpassed the 2005 blockbuster Hanuman in just four days since its premiere, establishing a new standard for Indian animation.

A Weekend That Sets New Records for Indian Animation

Sacnilk, an industry tracker, reports that Mahavatar Narsimha had a successful first weekend at the box office.

  • Day 1: ₹1.75 crore on Friday
  • Saturday, Day 2: ₹4.6 crore
  • Sunday, the third day: ₹9.5 crore
  • Monday, Day 4: ₹6.1 crore

With these figures, the film is now officially the highest-grossing Indian animated feature to date, with a total domestic net collection of ₹21.95 crore.

Box Office Charge Leads for Hindi Version

A sizeable portion of the movie's revenue came from its Hindi version, which alone brought in ₹15.55 crore. The Telugu version brought in an additional ₹5.57 crore, while the Malayalam and Tamil dubbed versions contributed to the movie's widespread popularity.
