The legendary footballer from Argentina will visit four premier cities—Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi—during the three-day tour from December 13 to December 15.

Kolkata kickstarts the GOAT India Tour

The first game of the tour will be held in Kolkata on December 13, the same day when Lionel Messi will finally visit India after a 14-year-long hiatus. The city will host a very special meet-and-greet session during which Messi will be virtually announcing the unveiling of the 70-foot statue of himself at the Sreebhumi Sporting Club in Lake Town.

After that, Messi will go to Hyderabad on December 13, where he will play a seven-a-side football match at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, followed by attending a musical concert.

The tour will be in Mumbai on December 14. Messi will participate in the Padel GOAT Cup at Brabourne Stadium, accompanied by a football match between top Bollywood actors. The Mumbai portion will also feature a charity fashion show and an auction of memorabilia of Argentina’s 2022 World Cup win. Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan and cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar are anticipated to be there.

The tour wraps up in New Delhi on December 15. Messi will be present at events with Indian cricketers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium and is also expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
