Khammam Farmer’s Son Wins ₹243 Crore Lottery in UAE, Becomes Overnight Millionaire

In a life-changing moment, Anil Kumar Bolla, the son of a farmer from Khammam district, Telangana, has won an astonishing ₹243 crore (AED 100 million) in a UAE lottery — the largest-ever prize in the Emirates’ history.

The 29-year-old, who works as an IT professional in Abu Dhabi, was declared the grand prize winner on October 27. Speaking after the announcement, Anil shared a heartwarming detail — the winning ticket number included his mother’s birthdate. “I had purchased multiple tickets, but the last one with my mother’s date of birth turned out to be the lucky one,” he said.

Anil has been living in the UAE for the past year and a half. His parents, Madhava Rao and Bhoolakshmi, live in a small village in Khammam. Overjoyed by the news, Bhoolakshmi told reporters, “We are very happy. He studied in a government school here and later moved to Guntur and Hyderabad for higher education before going abroad for work.”

In an interview posted on social media by the lottery organisers, Anil said he plans to bring his parents to the UAE to fulfil their wishes. “They don’t have big desires, but whatever small dreams they have, I want to make them come true. I want to take care of them all my life,” he said.

While he dreams of buying a supercar, Anil emphasised that he will invest the money wisely and donate a part of it to charity. “I want to spend it the right way and do some good for others,” he added.

The winning ticket was drawn on October 18, with the organisers officially announcing Anil as the winner nine days later. His incredible story has since become a source of pride for his hometown and an inspiration for many Indians working abroad.
