So far, five rounds have been covered, and the Congress candidate Naveen Yadav is still in a strong position as the results are being gradually unveiled.

Congress Surges Ahead as Counting Progresses

With each round, the Congress lead has widened. Early trends showed a narrow advantage, but the gap has grown substantially, boosting confidence among party workers.

Round 1: INC – 8,926 | BRS – 8,864 (Lead: 62)

Congress Celebrates, Cadres Gather at Gandhi Bhavan

As the leads strengthened, Congress supporters began early celebrations at Gandhi Bhavan. Large crowds also gathered at Naveen Yadav’s office in Yusufguda, where LED screens displayed live counting updates.

Revanth Reddy’s Strategy Pays Off

According to party insiders, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s last-week campaign push and detailed instructions to booth agents played a critical role in swinging momentum. The CM’s aggressive ground-level strategy appears to have neutralized criticism he faced in recent weeks, strengthening his position within the party.

Area-Wise Trends

Votes flowed heavily in favour of Congress in Rahmat Nagar and Vengal Rao Nagar, giving the party a unilateral edge in these localities.

In the Sheikhpet division, Congress established an early lead, with Naveen Yadav taking charge from the first round.

Mixed Moments as BRS Briefly Leads

There was a brief moment of relief for the BRS when it led by 201 votes in the third round. However, the momentum quickly shifted back to the Congress, and the lead widened thereafter.

Postal Ballot Trends

Out of 101 postal ballots, Congress secured 39, BRS 36, and BJP 10 votes — giving the INC an early advantage even before EVM counting began.

Polling Centre Developments

BRS candidate Maganti Sunitha requested to enter the counting centre with two agents, but officials and police permitted only one as per guidelines. A minor Congress–BRS clash was reported in the Sheikhpet division, but the counting process continued without delay.

What’s Next?

With the Congress maintaining a growing lead and the ruling party cadres already celebrating, all eyes are now on the final margin and the political impact of Naveen Yadav’s likely victory. A strong win in Jubilee Hills is expected to further strengthen CM Revanth Reddy's leadership as he prepares to “change gears” in state governance.
