International Kite Festival to Begin from January 13 in Hyderabad
Hyderabad will host the International Kite and Hot Air Balloons Festival from January 13 to 15 at Secunderabad Parade Ground as part of Sankranti celebrations.

A first-class kite and hot air balloons festival will take place between January 13 and 15, turning the city of Hyderabad into a charming and lively place during the time of Sankranti. The festival will be held by the Telangana Department of Tourism and Culture for three days and they will be giving a perfect arrangement all over the city.
The kite festival is going to take place at the Secunderabad Parade Ground with the expectation of around fifty international kite flyers from Indonesia, Switzerland, Australia, Sri Lanka, Canada, Italy, South Africa, the Netherlands, Thailand, Korea, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Scotland to name a few to come and be a part of the event.
In addition to the international flyers, more than sixty kite club members and expert flyers from different Indian states will be showing their skills like Telangana, Gujarat, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Haryana, and Andhra Pradesh who will be exhibiting their skills.
The hot air balloon display is one of the major attractions and it will be housed at Gandipet, the outer part of Hyderabad. Along with this, there will be stalls at the festival site displaying and selling handicrafts from different parts of the world. The stalls will also offer a good choice of traditional Sankranti dishes and sweets.
Vallur Kranthi, Managing Director of Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation, stated that the festival would not only promote the tourism industry but also provide an unforgettable cultural experience for the residents and visitors during the holidays.
