Influencer Sofik SK Drives Followers to Telegram With iPhone Giveaway Amid Viral ‘19-Minute Video’ Controversy

Bengali influencer Sofik SK, caught in the middle of a viral MMS scandal, is now steering his growing fan base toward a newly launched Telegram channel—using a massive iPhone giveaway to boost numbers. The digital creator, who recently crossed 536K Instagram followers, is promising 10 iPhones to randomly selected followers who join his channel, ‘Sofik Jalwa Shots’.

The push comes weeks after an intimate 15-minute video involving Sofik and his girlfriend surfaced online in November, sparking widespread controversy. Following the leak, the influencer issued a public apology, denying allegations that he released the clip for attention.

Telegram Campaign and Growing Metrics

In a new promotional video, Sofik is seen standing on a terrace with cash in hand, explaining how fans can find his Telegram channel. The channel has already attracted more than 20,000 members, featuring voice notes and posts related to “making money.”

Sofik’s Apology and Accusations

On November 18, Sofik released a detailed apology video in which he claimed the leaked clip was over a year old. He accused a former friend—whom he described as a “brother”—of stealing the video after gaining access to both his and his girlfriend’s phones. According to Sofik, this acquaintance had been blackmailing the couple and later posted the clip online after their relationship soured. He also shared screenshots, voice notes and a video as alleged evidence.

Sofik admitted that recording the video was his “biggest mistake” and urged followers not to circulate the content. He appealed for forgiveness while insisting he had no role in making the clip public.

The influencer, known for his comedy, folk theatre and Bengali drama performances, is a key member of the popular content group Palli Gram TV.
