IndiGo's flight operations crisis has still not gotten better and has caused the airline to cancel over 400 flights on Friday alone, with thousands of passengers left behind at the main airports. Mumbai airport incident involving a woman confronting staff has been turning the online space upside-down.

The woman, said to be African in the video, is seen standing on the airline's counter and loudly voicing her displeasure after she has her flight canceled. Reports from onlookers indicate the airlines' personnel were both rumbled by the lady and tawdry neglect, which led them to lose patience. Other travelers at the airport could also be seen at the counter and they were all upset over delays, just like the lady.

User @vishalpatel.vj shared the video on Instagram with the caption “Indigo delays and Passenger relays.” Viewers did not take long to react to the clip, and their opinions were divided. Some people considered the outburst to be futile, while others showed sympathy to her situation, stressing that missing international connections adds to the stress and cost issue.

One of the Instagram users narrated the lady's despite and reported her saying: “I’m going back to my country. I’m returning because you ruined my ticket… There’s nothing to eat, nowhere to sleep. I’m leaving and going back.” Another person said the lady's annoyance was the situation's mirror, adding that her traveling plans got very risky due to her flight being delayed several times.

This incident happened simultaneously with the bigger operational crisis of IndiGo. The airline could not get along with the new crew scheduling rules which resulted in a situation where around 500 flights were canceled and rescheduled because of passengers and their luggage not being on board. IndiGo has said they will be making minor changes in the next 48 hours as part of their larger plan to restore normal operations and improve punctuality daily."

“Employees from various departments are doing everything possible to reduce the discomfort of the customers and to make the operations return to normal as quickly as possible,” said the airline in its statement.

According to travel specialists, the situation where masses of people are cancelled can lead to further disturbances especially for those with very close international connections. The users of social media still keep a close eye on the updates and share their stories of long waits and flights they have missed.
