IndiGo Flight Cancelled? How to Claim Full Refund Quickly

IndiGo, the largest airline in India, canceled more than five hundred flightswhich affected the Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru airports-the biggest in the country. The operational problems in the airline's functioning were the main reason for the cancellations, which caused a considerable number of travelers to be left without help and also resulted in long lines at check-in and boarding areas.
Passengers said they were waiting for hours and they weren't even given access to food or water to drink. A number of travelers were having a hard time getting their bags which only made the scene more disorderly.
Airline Response
IndiGo apologized for the inconvenience caused stating that all refunds for cancellations will be processed automatically to original mode of payment. "We will offer full waiver on all cancellations/reschedule requests of bookings for travel between December 5 to 15." it added.
However, here's how to get a refund or reschedule
The passengers whose flights are canceled can either apply for a refund or reschedule their flights using IndiGo's 'Plan B' service:
- Open the IndiGo official website and go to the 'Support' section.
- Choose 'Plan B' to handle cancellations, refunds, or rescheduling.
- Fill in your booking reference (PNR), email ID, and last name.
- You can opt either to change your flight timing/date or cancel the booking for a full refund.
Eligibility for Plan B
Passengers are eligible for Plan B if:
They are booked on a canceled flight.
Departure time is moved ahead by one hour or more.
Departure is delayed by two hours or more.
There are no additional costs for opting for Plan B. Refunds are usually processed within a week. Passengers who reserved tickets via travel agencies must get in touch with those agencies to claim refunds.
