🇮🇳 Operation Sindoor Awareness Session at IIT Jammu
The session at IIT Jammu was led by the Commander of the Chenab Brigade under the Tiger Division. The briefing was attended by students, faculty, and the Director of the institute.
According to the Army's statement, the purpose of the session was to:
Raise awareness about India's whole-of-nation approach to combating terrorism.
Highlight the professionalism and strategic precision behind Operation Sindoor.
Encourage student engagement in national security and defence strategy.
The interactive session concluded with a vibrant Q&A round, where students discussed topics like the evolving nature of warfare, India’s response strategies, and regional geopolitical threats.
💥 What Was Operation Sindoor?
Operation Sindoor was launched as a strategic retaliation following the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, where 26 civilians tragically lost their lives. India responded with precision air and ground strikes, targeting terrorist infrastructure across the border in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir (PoJK).
The operation underlined India’s zero-tolerance policy toward terrorism, reinforcing its military capabilities and strategic readiness.
🩺 Army Conducts Free Medical & Veterinary Camp in Doda
In another significant outreach effort under Operation Sadhbhavana, the Indian Army organized a free medical and veterinary camp at Kulhand village in Doda district.
This initiative catered to the healthcare needs of Gujjar and Bakarwal communities, many of whom reside in remote, underserved areas with limited access to medical services.
The camp provided:
Health check-ups for locals
Animal care and medicines for livestock
Distribution of free medicines for both humans and animals
Local villagers expressed deep gratitude for the Army’s compassionate gesture.
Faroon Bhat, a local resident, said:
“The Indian Army has done a great service for us. Setting up a medical and veterinary camp here means a lot. We salute them for their efforts.”
🫱🏻🫲🏽 Strengthening Civil-Military Ties
These dual initiatives reflect the Indian Army’s multi-dimensional role in the region—defending the nation while also building trust and welfare bridges with local communities.
By combining strategic awareness with humanitarian outreach, the Indian Army continues to be seen as a pillar of strength, support, and service in both urban centers and remote terrains of Jammu and Kashmir.
